Dance Studio Dress Code


CLASS ATTIRE:

TINY FEET/LITTLE FEET (Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Combo Class): Bodysuit, tights and/or bike shorts and/or skirt. Pink ballet slippers for jazz and black gymnastic slippers for black jazz shoes for Jazz and Musical Theatre.

JAZZ: Bodysuit, tights and/or shorts or leggings and black jazz shoes

LYRICAL: Bodysuit, tights and/or shorts or leggings with bare feet or skin tone half soles.

HIP HOP/STREET: Loose, baggy clothing, clean indoor running shoes (white soles preferred).

MODERN: Bodysuit, tights and/or shorts, leggings or studio pants, plain black socks and layers for floor work.

TAP: Bodysuit, tights and/or shorts, leggings and tap shoes.

MUSICAL THEATRE & MODERN STAGE: Bodysuit, tights and/or shorts, leggings and black jazz shoes. Character shoes may be requested by teacher.

ADULT: Form fitting dance wear – much like what you would wear to a yoga class.

Adult Footwear: Adult Ballet- leather or canvas ballet shoes. Tap- Tap Shoes, Jazz – Jazz shoes or dance socks (with some grip), Belly Dance – Bare feet of dance slippers

 

BALLET:

Little Feet Ballet:  Bodysuit of choice, light pink tights or white ankle socks, leather full sole ballet shoes. Dancers may also wear a pink skirt.

General / Open Ballet: Black or any solid colour bodysuit with pink Capezio ballet tights and leather or canvas ballet shoes.

RAD Ballet Dance Unform: *Required for September 2025*

*All RAD uniform leotards will be available to purchase through the studio office in the fall.

*Character skirts and shoes for Grades 1-5 will be rented through the studio.

*All Ballet students must wear hair in a neat bun – there are many great YouTube videos on how to make a proper ballet bun.

*During the winter months a wrap-around ballet warm-up sweater is recommended. Leg warmers and dance warm ups are also permitted for use in cold weather.
